WashR DUO | How to check your oil level before use

Before firing up your WashR DUO for the first time, it’s essential to replace the shipping plug and ensure the oil level is correct. This simple step helps protect your pump and keeps your unit running smoothly.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Remove the Shipping Plug
• Use a 17mm open-end or socket wrench to remove the red shipping plug from the pressure pump.
• Discard the shipping plug — it’s not used again.

2. Install the Breather Plug
• Locate the breather plug in your parts bag.
• Insert it into the pump’s oil port.
• Tighten by hand only — do not use a wrench to avoid damaging the plug.

3. Check the Oil Level
• Use the dipstick attached to the breather plug to check the oil level.
• If oil is below the “LOW” mark, top up the pump.

Oil Type & Maintenance Schedule

• Use high-quality NON-DETERGENT motor oil classified as API SF, SG, SH, SJ, or higher.
Recommended oil types: SAE 10W-30 or 15W-40 depending on ambient temperature.
Initial oil change: After the first 30 hours of use.

Temperature Tips

  • Below 4°C (40°F): SAE 30 may cause hard starting.

  • Above 27°C (80°F): 10W-30 may lead to increased oil consumption. Monitor levels more frequently.

Subsequent changes: Every 100 hours.
