WashR DUO | How to start the unit

Starting your bigboi WashR DUO for the first time—or after it’s been sitting idle—is easy when done the right way. Follow this step-by-step guide to get foaming safely and effectively.

🔧 Step-by-Step Startup Guide

1. Position the Unit
Place the WashR DUO near a water source capable of delivering at least 19LPM (5GPM) and no less than 20PSI (1.3BAR) at the hose end. This is critical for performance.

2. Check All Connections
Ensure the high-pressure hose is securely connected to both the spray gun and the pump.

⚠️ DO NOT run the pump without the water supply connected and turned on. Doing so will void your warranty.

3. Ensure a Level Surface
Place the unit on a flat, stable surface to ensure smooth operation.

4. Uncoil the Hose
Fully uncoil the high-pressure hose before use to avoid pressure restriction or tangles.

5. Connect Your Water Supply
Attach your garden hose to the water inlet on the pump, ensuring it’s tight and free of leaks.

6. Purge Air from the System
Turn on the water. Then, point the spray gun in a safe direction and squeeze the trigger to flush air and any impurities from the line.

7. Attach the Gun Lance
Secure the lance to the spray gun by inserting it and giving it a tug to confirm it’s locked in.

8. Select and Install a Nozzle
Choose your nozzle. Pull back the collar on the quick connector, insert the nozzle, and release. Tug slightly to confirm it’s locked in place.

🧼 Pro Tip: Choose the nozzle based on your task—check our nozzle guide if unsure.

IMPORTANT: Before starting the pressure washer, ensure you are wearing adequate safety equipment.

9. Safety First
Make sure you're wearing appropriate safety gear before turning the unit on.

10. Power On
Press the ON button to start the motor.

🛑 Understanding Total Stop System (TSS)

  • Automatic Standby: When the trigger is released for more than 5 seconds, the motor stops, and the system enters STAND BY mode.

  • Resume Spraying: Pull the trigger again, and the motor automatically restarts.

  • 30-Minute Cut-Off: If left in STAND BY for more than 30 minutes, the system shuts off completely.

⚠️ Never leave the WashR DUO unattended while in STAND BY mode.
