WashR DUO | How to adjust your spray pressure

While the WASHR DUO includes a pressure adjustment knob, we do not recommend using it frequently unless you're experienced with pressure washer performance. The DUO has been tuned for optimal detailing right out of the box — so adjusting pressure can often cause more harm than good, including reduced pump life or inconsistent performance.

That said, if you do need to fine-tune your pressure for a specific job, here’s how to do it safely:

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Select and install the correct spray tip
Use the right spray nozzle for your application — narrower degrees (e.g. 15°) for tougher grime, and wider spray angles (e.g. 40°) for delicate surfaces.

2. Maintain a safe working distance
Start with the spray gun at least 50 cm away from the surface and move closer if needed. Never start too close — you could damage the paint or finish.

3. Adjust pressure using the control knob

  • Turn the pressure control knob clockwise to increase pressure.

  • Turn it counterclockwise to decrease pressure.

Only adjust a small amount at a time, and let the machine run for a few seconds to stabilise before testing the pressure again.

4. Test before committing
Spray a small test patch and inspect it. If there’s any sign of damage, immediately back off and reduce pressure or switch to a wider spray tip.

5. Rinse methodically
Once your pressure is set, begin rinsing from top to bottom using overlapping horizontal passes. This ensures full coverage and an even finish.

Important Note:

Over-adjusting the DUO’s pressure may lead to pump strain and premature wear. For optimal longevity, stick to nozzle changes or working distance to modify intensity before touching the pressure knob.
