WashR DUO | How to setup the unit

Setting up your bigboi WashR DUO is quick and easy — just follow the steps below to ensure your unit is ready to deliver maximum performance.

Step 1: Add Oil to the Triplex Pump

Refer to the article: How to Check Your Oil Level Before Use
Make sure the breather plug is installed and the oil is at the correct level before starting the unit.

Step 2: Connect Spray Wand to Spray Gun

  • Pull back the slip ring on the quick-connect socket of the pressure gun.

  • Insert the quick-connect plug from the lance into the socket.

  • Release the slip ring and twist slightly until you hear a CLICK.

  • Pull both parts in opposite directions to confirm a secure connection.

Step 3: Attach High-Pressure Hose to Spray Gun

  • Connect the quick-connect socket end of the pressure hose to the pressure gun.

  • Pull on the hose to ensure it is firmly attached.

Step 4: Connect Hose and Water Supply to Pump

  • Attach the other end of the high-pressure hose to the outlet on the pump. Pull down the collar, insert the connector, and release the collar. Tug to confirm it’s locked in.

  • Before connecting the garden hose, inspect and clean the inlet screen.

  • Run water through your garden hose for 30 seconds to flush out debris.

  • Connect the garden hose (no longer than 15m and at least 12mm internal diameter) to the pump inlet by hand-tightening.

  • Turn on the water supply and squeeze the spray gun trigger to purge air from the system.

⚠️ Important: Only use cold, clean mains water. Do not use standing water or draw from a tank unless properly filtered.

Step 5: Connect the Electrical Supply

  • Ensure the switch is in the “OFF” position.

  • Plug the power cord directly into a grounded outlet.

  • Avoid using extension cords unless absolutely necessary. And if you do ONLY use Extra Heavy Duty Cables.

Step 6: If Using an Extension Cord

  • Must be IPX5-rated and extra heavy duty.

  • Use the shortest possible length — longer cords require thicker gauges.

  • Undersized or excessive cords may cause voltage drops, reduce motor speed, and potentially damage the unit.
