WashR DUO | How to store the unit when not in use

Proper storage of your bigboi WashR DUO ensures it stays in peak condition and ready to go when you need it. Whether you're storing it between washes or for an extended winter break, follow the steps below to prevent damage and keep performance dialled in.

🔁 After General Use (Short-Term Storage)

1. Drain and store the high-pressure hose

  • Disconnect the hose from the unit.

  • Fully drain all remaining water.

  • Coil the hose neatly and hang it on the unit’s integrated cradle.

  • If you've used chemicals, flush the pump and hose with clean water to prevent internal build-up.

2. Drain and store the spray gun and lance

  • Point the lance downward and squeeze the trigger to release any trapped water.

  • Store both in the designated holder on your WashR DUO.

❄️ Winter & Long-Term Storage (30+ Days or Freezing Conditions)

To protect internal seals from damage due to freezing or stagnation, follow these winterisation steps:

You will need:

  • 1 metre of garden hose with a male hose connector

  • A bottle of Pressure Washer Pump Freeze Guard (available from most hardware stores or online)

1. Connect hose to pump
Attach your short hose to the water inlet of the WashR DUO.

2. Attach the Freeze Guard
Connect the Freeze Guard bottle to the hose end and hold it upright.

3. Inject antifreeze
Squeeze the Freeze Guard bottle until antifreeze fluid exits from the pump outlet. This ensures internal components are fully protected.

4. Disconnect
Remove the hose and store the unit in a dry, sheltered area.

✅ Pro Tips

  • Never store the unit with water inside the pump in freezing conditions.

  • Store in a dry, dust-free space to avoid contamination of connections.

  • Perform a quick visual check before storage — look for leaks, cracks, or worn fittings.
