D-IonizR | How to Replace the TDS Meter Probes
How to Replace the TDS Meter Probes on Your D-IONIZR
The TDS meter monitors water quality at both the inlet and outlet of your D-IONIZR system. If a probe becomes damaged, stops providing an accurate reading or needs to be replaced, follow the steps below.
This replacement process applies to both the water inlet probe and the water outlet probe.
Before You Begin
- Turn off the water supply.
- Disconnect the D-IONIZR from the power supply.
- Release any remaining water pressure from the system.
- Identify whether you are replacing the IN probe or the OUT probe.
Important: The probes must be installed in the correct positions. Connect the IN probe to the water inlet and the OUT probe to the water outlet.
Replacing the TDS Probe
Step 1: Release the Existing Plug
Press down firmly on the locking buckle surrounding the TDS plug.
The buckle must remain pressed down while the plug is being removed.
Step 2: Remove and Replace the Probe
While holding the buckle down, gently pull the existing TDS plug straight out of the connection.
Insert the new TDS probe plug firmly into the same connection point.
Do not pull the plug out by the cable, as this may damage the wiring or connector.
Step 3: Check the Connection
After inserting the new plug, gently pull on it to confirm that it is securely locked in place.
The plug should not come out when lightly pulled. This confirms that it has been inserted correctly and is seated tightly.
Confirm the Probe Position
Before restoring power and water, check that:
- The IN probe is connected at the water inlet.
- The OUT probe is connected at the water outlet.
- Both plugs are fully inserted and cannot be pulled out.
- The cables are not twisted, pinched or under tension.
After Replacement
Reconnect the water supply and check the connection area for leaks. Once confirmed, reconnect the power and allow water to flow through the system.
Check the TDS display to confirm that readings are being shown correctly.
Note: If the plug will not come out, do not force it. Press the locking buckle down completely before attempting to remove the plug again.
If the TDS meter does not display a reading after replacement, turn the system off and check that the correct probe is connected to each inlet and outlet position.
