FoamR | How to Change the Foam Generator Filters
Over time, the foam generator filters in your FoamR, FoamR PRO, or PRO PLUS can become blocked with dried detergent, hard water residue, or debris. When this happens, it can affect foam consistency and overall performance. Replacing or cleaning the filters is a simple maintenance task that can make a big difference in your results.
🔧 What a Blocked Filter Can Cause:
-
Weak or watery foam output
-
Irregular spray pattern
-
Reduced pressure or flow
-
Excess strain on the unit
-
No foam at all despite detergent in the bottle
Regular maintenance of your filters ensures your FoamR delivers thick, consistent foam and performs like new.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Remove the Locking Pin
Locate the U-shaped pin at the top of the FoamR. This pin holds the front assembly to the bottle.
Use a flathead screwdriver to gently lift and pull it out.
2 Remove the Front Housing
Once the pin is removed, slide off the front housing carefully. This exposes the internal filter components.
3. Detach the Back Plastic Piece
Pull off the plastic cap or rear housing at the back of the head. This opens up access to the filter channel.
4. Remove the Front Screw
Locate and unscrew the small screw on the front of the FoamR. This holds the filter stack in place.
5. Push Out the Filters
Using a thin tool or the screwdriver, poke through the hole where the foam nozzle was.
Push gently — the filter assembly (mesh, pad, mesh) will pop out the back.
6. Replace or Clean the Filters
When reassembling, be sure to stack the parts in the correct order:
Mesh ➝ Filter Pad ➝ Mesh
Clean with warm water and air dry if reusing. If they’re damaged or heavily blocked, replace them.
7. Reassemble the Unit
Reverse the steps to reassemble:
-
-
Reinsert the filter stack
-
Tighten the front screw
-
Slide the back and front housings back on
-
Push the U-pin back into place securely
-
💡 Pro Tip:
We recommend checking and cleaning your foam generator filters every 4–6 weeks if you use your FoamR regularly. This keeps foam performance consistent and prevents unnecessary wear.
