WashR DUO | How to maintain your unit (Maintenance Guide)
Routine maintenance is essential to ensure the performance, reliability, and longevity of your bigboi WashR DUO. This guide walks you through essential upkeep tasks and includes a maintenance schedule to keep your unit running at its best.
Note: If your WashR DUO is used in extreme conditions — such as high heat or dusty environments — you’ll need to inspect and service it more frequently.
Pump Oil
- Change the pump oil regularly.
- Change the pump oil after the first 50 hours of work and subsequently every 100 hours. Ensure that the oil is changed at least once a year.
- Check with your nearest dealer for advice on the best pump oil to use with this equipment if you are unsure.
🛢️ Pump Oil Maintenance
-
Change the pump oil after the first 50 hours of operation, then every 100 hours thereafter.
-
At a minimum, oil should be changed once a year.
-
Use non-detergent API SF SAE 10W/30 or 15W/40 oil.
-
Avoid additives or detergent oils — they can cause foaming and reduce performance.
-
If you're unsure which oil to use, contact our support team.
🎯 Nozzle Tip Cleaning
A clogged nozzle can create dangerous pressure fluctuations. Here’s how to clean it properly:
Steps:
-
Turn off the unit and disconnect the water supply.
-
Pull the trigger on the gun to release any remaining pressure.
-
Detach the lance from the gun.
-
Remove the nozzle from the lance.
-
Clear blockages using a nozzle cleaning tool.
-
Back-flush the nozzle with clean water for 30 seconds.
-
Reattach the nozzle and lance.
-
Reconnect the lance, turn on the water, and test at full pressure.
💧 Cleaning the Water Filter
A clean filter is essential for uninterrupted operation. Check regularly.
Steps:
-
Remove the filter from the pump’s water inlet.
-
Flush it thoroughly with water from both directions.
-
Reinsert the cleaned filter into the inlet.
🔄 High Pressure Hose Inspection
Replace your high-pressure hose immediately if you notice any of the following:
-
Damaged outer cover
-
Bursting or bulging
-
Visible blisters or bubbles
-
Kinks or collapsed sections
Using a compromised hose can be dangerous and will affect pressure performance.
🧰 Maintenance Schedule
Always turn off the motor, disconnect the water, and relieve pressure before performing any maintenance.
