Pressure Washer Pump Bolt Torque Specifications

Correct bolt tension is important when inspecting, servicing or reassembling the pump on your bigboi pressure washer. Bolts that are too loose may allow movement or leaks, while overtightening can damage the pump housing, threads or internal components.

The required torque depends on your pressure washer model and bolt size.

Recommended Torque Settings

These specifications apply to the pump bolts highlighted in the image below.

How to Tighten the Pump Bolts

1. Turn the pressure washer off and disconnect it from the power supply.
2. Disconnect the water supply and squeeze the spray-gun trigger to release any remaining pressure.
3. Locate the pump bolts shown in the reference image.
4. Set a calibrated torque wrench to the correct setting for your model.
5. Tighten the bolts gradually, working in an alternating or cross pattern to apply even pressure across the pump assembly.
6. Check each bolt again to confirm that the correct torque has been reached.

Important: Do not tighten the bolts beyond the specified torque. Excessive force may damage the threads, bolts or pump housing.

Which Setting Should I Use?

Use 20 N·m for the WashR DUO fitted with M8 bolts.

Use 12.5 N·m for the WashR PRO or WashR TRADIE fitted with M6 bolts.

If you are unsure which bolts require adjustment, contact the bigboi support team before continuing. Internal servicing or disassembly should only be completed by a suitably qualified technician.
