WashR PRO | How to maintain your unit (Maintenance Guide)
To keep your bigboi WashR PRO performing at its best, regular maintenance is essential. A proper routine helps extend the life of your unit and ensures safe, reliable operation — especially if you're working in tough environments like extreme heat or dusty areas.
🔧 Pump Oil Maintenance
Keeping your pump properly lubricated is critical for long-term performance.
-
First Oil Change: After the first 30 hours of use
-
Ongoing Changes: Every 100 hours of use or at least once per year
Recommended Oil Type:
Use non-detergent API SF SAE 10W/30 or 15W/40 motor oil.
-
Avoid oil additives.
-
Only use oil rated SF, SG, SH, SJ or higher.
-
Make sure the oil is designed for use in air-cooled engines.
Temperature Tips:
-
Below 4°C (40°F): Avoid SAE 30 — it can cause hard starts.
-
Above 27°C (80°F): 10W/30 may burn off faster — check the oil level more frequently in hot climates.

Nozzle Tips
If the nozzle becomes clogged with dirt and debris excessive pressure can build up. If the nozzle becomes partially clogged or restricted the pump pressure will fluctuate and can become harmful and dangerous.
🛑 Nozzle Tip Care
A clogged or dirty nozzle can cause pressure spikes and inconsistent spray patterns — both dangerous for your gear and your surfaces.
Cleaning the Nozzle
-
Turn off the motor and disconnect the water supply.
-
Pull the trigger to release any pressure.
-
Remove the lance from the spray gun.
-
Detach the nozzle from the lance.
-
Use the nozzle cleaning tool to clear any debris.
-
Backflush with clean water by directing it through the spray wand side for 30 seconds.
-
Reattach the nozzle to the lance, then reattach the lance to the spray gun.
-
Turn on the water and test in high-pressure mode to ensure proper spray.
🚰 Water Filter Cleaning
The water filter protects your pump from debris and should be checked regularly.
Cleaning the Filter
-
Remove the filter from the water inlet on the pump.
-
Rinse thoroughly with clean water from both sides.
-
Reinsert the filter securely into the inlet.
🧵 High-Pressure Hose Check
Replace the hose immediately if you see any of the following:
-
Visible cover damage
-
Bubbles or blisters
-
Signs of a burst
-
Kinks or collapsed sections
A damaged hose can cause injury or damage to the unit — don’t ignore it.
📅 Maintenance Schedule & Safety
Before doing any maintenance:
-
Turn off the motor
-
Shut off the water supply
-
Release trapped pressure by squeezing the trigger
-
After maintenance, always reinstall guards and covers before use
